Epsilon Brings Three Interns Aboard this Summer

Epsilon has welcomed three interns to our ranks for the summer months. Returning intern Sommer Heyman, a rising Junior at the University of Massachusetts Boston, is back with us supporting the Ecological Sciences, Planning, and Coastal and Marine Groups on a variety of tasks. Jared Lista, a rising senior at Temple University, is supporting the Historic Preservation Group on numerous assignments including documenting on-going historic tax credit projects. Ben Stormwind, a rising Junior at Fitchburg State University, is supporting the firm’s Marketing Group, including new market development and social media. Welcome, all!
Sommer Heyman returns to Epsilon’s Planning, Eco, and Coastal Group
Epsilon is pleased to have Sommer Heyman return to the team as an intern for the summer months, 2023. Sommer is a junior at the University of Massachusetts-Boston’s School for the Environment, where they are majoring in Environmental Science with a minor in Community Development.
Sommer has pursued course work in interesting subjects including Community Health and the Environment, Global Climate Change, and Introduction to Oceanography and Coastal Biology. Last summer, they gained technical expertise through working with our Planning, Ecological Sciences, and Coastal & Marine practices, with significant time spent on development projects, completing wetland delineations, and assisting in completing various permitting applications (e.g., DEIR, ENF, NPC, EIR, etc.)
This year, Sommer is supporting the ecological sciences and planning practices working on environmental permitting, wetland delineations, field data collection including water quality sampling and monitoring, and using their EPA’s Construction General Permit (CGP) certification to complete construction site compliance monitoring, and other similar tasks.
Jared Lista Joins Epsilon’s Historic Preservation Group
Epsilon is excited to have Jared Lista join our ranks this summer. Jared is a rising senior at Temple University where he is pursuing degrees in architecture and historic preservation.
Jared’s course work has been focused on a variety of subjects including Architecture and Technology, Materials and Methods, Research Methods for Historic Preservation, and Global Preservation Practice and Design Studios. During his internship Jared has supported the Historic Group assisting on visits to numerous project sites, writing architectural descriptions, and federal and state tax credit applications.
Jared’s passion for preserving historic buildings and his education in architecture make him the perfect fit for Epsilon's team this summer.
Ben Stormwind joins Epsilon’s Marketing Group
Epsilon is delighted to have Ben Stormwind join our team this summer. Ben is a rising junior at Fitchburg State University, where he is majoring in Business with a concentration on Marketing.
Ben has engaged in relevant course work in intriguing subjects including Market Research, Business-to-Business Marketing, Sales Management, Consumer Behavior and Philosophy. This summer Ben has underpinned the firm’s Marketing group by embarking on a variety of tasks including supporting the launch of our newly opened office in Albany, New York; conducting target market research; researching digital marketing strategies, as well as writing, preparing, and publishing content for Epsilon’s newsletter, Permitting Matters.
