Diversity & Inclusion
Epsilon is committed to the premise that diversity and inclusion are closely tied to the vision, mission, values, and goals of our company. We recognize the importance of enhancing our relationships with each other and our clients, fostering increased collaboration, and ensuring that everyone feels valued and respected at our firm. We believe everyone should be treated equally regardless of race, sex, gender identification, sexual orientation, national origin, native language, religion, age, disability, marital status, and citizenship.
Epsilon Associates, Inc. is committed to achieving our vision to be a leader in the field of environmental consulting. One key aspect of this vision is having a workplace that is welcoming, equitable, and empowering to all. We recognize the historical and current institutionalized inequity in areas such as education, hiring practices, and compensation, among others, in the United States. We recognize Epsilon’s limitations in solving these issues more broadly, however we are committed to identifying them inside our organization and working on these issues in our industry through our network of environmental consulting and engineering firms.
Epsilon has established a standing Diversity and Inclusion Subcommittee. The Subcommittee will report findings and recommendations to the Principals as it evaluates our practices across the firm, including promotion, compensation, retention, hiring and activities with professional organizations. Epsilon will actively seek to identify and hire individuals with different backgrounds to promote diversity and inclusion within the firm, which we expect will lead to more creative and better overall results. One of the Subcommittee’s first recommendations is making changes to advertising openings to reach a broader more diverse talent pool to effect change within our firm. Also, Epsilon will partner with professional organizations to promote outreach and increase inclusion to those underrepresented in our industry.
We expect that this will be an ongoing process and we welcome voices from all members of our staff as we move forward with this initiative.
